At Mwamba we have three coaches. Each coach has a specific age group as you have seen.
All Age-grade coaches are IRB level one and two and some are IRB level three and hold a First Aid Certificate with AAR.
The mission of this programme is to instill the rugby-playing culture in the youth at an early age and to create a sense of ownership of Mwamba as a club.
Participation of all ages.
To make the game of Rugby popular to all ages.
Also to make sure that girls play the game at an early age.
Interaction of different kids from different backgrounds and culture.
Mwamba Age Grade Under 14 won the Age Grade league last year which is organised by KRFU DevelopmentDepartment.
Mwamba Age Grade trains every Sunday at Mwamba Rugby Pitch. The session starts at 2.00 pm to 4.30 pm. When schools close we'll be training two days a week - that’s Tuesday and Sunday same time unless otherwise decided.
Training is free and any children who are willing to play Rugby are welcome. All they need to come with is the training kit i.e. socks, trainers, T-shirt, shorts. Children are also required to carry a packed snack.
